Classes/Workshops
-Start Dancing Again-
Start Dancing Again is a new class series of 90 minute ballet and modern classes taught by Springfield Dance Alliance members! These classes are appropriate for a dancer with just a few years of experience, but are geared towards professionals and those who have studied dance in depth in high school or college.
Ballet classes include a complete barre warm-up followed by center work, traveling movements and some choreography/variations. Modern classes will consist of a warm-up, floorwork and athletic, expressive dancing rooted in technique.
Outreach programs
-Community Dance Slam-
Inspired by poetry slams, our Community Dance Slam highlights the Springfield area dance community by providing any local dance artist or organization the opportunity to present works in an inclusive community setting. Artists can choose to have their work professionally adjudicated. A few artists from each Dance Slam who choose to participate in the adjudication process will be selected to present their work in one of the Alliance’s formal concerts and receive a one year membership with Springfield Dance Alliance free.
